Good Sunday morning all. Currently -15°C and sunny. It is so nice to see the sun! Weatherman says the high will reach -9°C today, and as long as the sun is shining I'll try to get stuff done outside. There is a bunch of cleanup I can do outside, including a squirrel carcass that ended up here somehow - coyotes? I could also do some cleaning/prep out in the greenhouse. The sun should warm it up nicely in there.
Have a great day all :)

Good Monday morning all. Currently -23°C and clear. Looks like a full moon out there, which would explain the cold. Brrr.
It looks like its going to be a sunny day with a high of -5°C, and the week keeps getting warmer from there.
Hoping to get some more cleanup done outside and in the garage today.
Have a great day all :)

This past Sunday morning went to grab something out of the vehicle. We had a little dusting of snow. Upon my return trip I found the patch of ice. Landed on my back banged the back my head. Thankfully it was dirt ground not pavement. When I finally was able to get my bearings and get up I went inside grabbed some rock salt. Had a nice lump on the ol' cranium. By evening lump went down. Next morning felt sore in spots especially my neck and my head still tender in that spot. Feeling better today - at 57 I just don't bounce back like I used to LOL

Good Thursday morning all. Currently -3°C and partly cloudy. We are going up to +4°C today.
Yesterday was a gorgeous day ... sunny and a high of 7!
Its Thursday, so that means its errand and shopping day again.
@Clay_22 I fell down on the ice in my driveway again this week, reinjuring my elbow. I spent the afternoon sanding the driveway and let the sun do the work. Its almost all melted through now. I'll be so glad when winter is over!
Have a great day all :)

Good Friday morning all. Currently -2°C and overcast. Weatherman says we are going to get a bunch of rain tonight and all day tomorrow., as well as a high of +14°C!
Guess that means I'd better make sure that there is drainage and that my sump pump is working as there will be a lot of snow melting on top of all the rain. I'm not sure why the weather is always one extreme or the other? It would be nice to have some "regular" weather patterns for a while!
It sure will be nice to see grass again for a while, and get some yard cleanup done before the next snowfall.
Have a great day all :)

Happy Sunday morning everyone. My cup of tea asked me sit for a few moments while the busy kitchen simmers along on its own. We are getting ready for a medical trip to the city tomorrow for a few days. We are taking an extra day to relax before the business, which we are both looking forward to, especially with the long hours of driving in snowy weather. Hubby's body could very much benefit from a few soaks in a hot tub.

Old Angus will be coming, so it was bath day for him yesterday. The weather warranted an indoor bath (which means both of us in the cramped shower ) and a blow dry, which oldly enough he likes the blow dry. Consequently there was hair EVERYWHERE, but it is done now and he feels good. Today is dust, mop and hair clean up day.

Angus has had a rough time with his health since the first week of Feb. Thankfully our forever vet came out of retirement to help at the clinic, and he has a lovely approach with senior dogs. With some medication and care, Angus is back to himself. Over the last few months he has developed major seperation anxiety over the last few month. He doesn't act out, but searches for us. So where I go, he goes. I think also because he's losing his hearing and his eye sight is beginning to fade. We can all relate to that I think, in some way or another. :)

Taking him on a travel trip is like packing for a toddler, especially with his special diet, need for routine, favourite snacks, doggie ramp, blankets....and favourite stuffies.

So although it is supposed to snow for the next few days, we are off like a herd of turtles tomorrow. Hair and all. :)

The yard is still white with snow, but it rained for 24 hours and melted a lot. Like for many others, it's been very bizarre weather. I'm ready to be done with the ice and snow though, when Mother Nature makes up her mind.

    Enjoy your Sunday everyone.

Good luck on your upcoming trip. Take good care of your lovely doggie.
When you get back you really must tell all about your gardening plans.

Mind how you go on those snowy roads.

Good Monday morning all. Currently 7°C and cloudy.
I'm up bright and early despite the time change, and hope to get caught up on some bookwork. The weather has been super mild and a lot of the snow has melted and the sump pump is running steady. I'm going to enjoy these warm days while they are here because I am sure that old man winter isn't done with us yet. I did mange to get the doggy doo picked up, which was a chore due to all the snow we had, and some fallen branches picked up. Waiting patiently for spring and garden season as I am also done with winter.
Have a great day all :)

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 3°C and overcast. Yesterday was an absolutely beautiful day with the high being 17°C! Its getting colder from here though, and today will only hit 9°C and we are getting a ton of rain overnight tonight.
I got some work done on my books and then I went outside to do some yard work. The snow is melting quickly and there is a lake down at the front of the property. Sump pump is starting to slow down, but I'm sure that tonights rain will get it working hard again.
Helping a friend today, and then hopefully home to do some more yard work before the rains hit.
Have a great day all :)

Four days of 70+ weather. Sooooo nice after this brutal Winter. Cleaning the yard, but paying the price for it. But it will turn cooler again for quite a while.
I trashed two big planters I made a few years ago with no bottoms. I cannot believe the roots of some flowers, they dug two feet down into the ground and I had to actually use a saw to cut the matting of roots. They spread like spider webs. No more big planters for me.
