@Pacnorwest you must garlic press @Zigs about growing garlic. His stories have stories. I recall he might have grown garlic commercially but it left a funny taste in his mouth. Was it 50,000 plants?
Not quite that many Mr Mechanic but I did supply the local shops and pubs I started off with 3 bulbs, got them up to about 5,000 and then got wiped out with onion white rot These are coming on well this year, planted in November from Solent Wight stock.
