When I looked out our front window to see who was having a birdseed snack a week ago. This is what I saw and ran for my camera. It's a little out of focus as I took it with my phone and was shooting through a somewhat dirty window. But none the less I was amazed to see this albino finch happily munching on sunflower seeds. 0829200918a.jpg

Tooty, I forwarded your post and photo to an ornithologist friend of ours who will be very interested in it. Thanks for posting, and for being so observant!

I'm so glad you managed to get a photograph of it Tooty. I've never seen an albino finch before.

I have also never seen one of these. What a lucky moment, 2T.
If you get more, I would love to see them.

Thanks all. I had never seen a albino bird of any sort until this one showed up. It was only at my feeders for a few days and then gone.
Marlingardner I would be super interested in what your friend thinks about this albino finch.

Tooty, I'd be interested in his thoughts, too. No reply to my e-mail and photo. I even sent a follow-up to ask if he was well. He just may slip to the bottom of my friends list.
