When I looked out our front window to see who was having a birdseed snack a week ago. This is what I saw and ran for my camera. It's a little out of focus as I took it with my phone and was shooting through a somewhat dirty window. But none the less I was amazed to see this albino finch happily munching on sunflower seeds.
Tooty, I forwarded your post and photo to an ornithologist friend of ours who will be very interested in it. Thanks for posting, and for being so observant!
I have also never seen one of these. What a lucky moment, 2T. If you get more, I would love to see them.
Thanks all. I had never seen a albino bird of any sort until this one showed up. It was only at my feeders for a few days and then gone. Marlingardner I would be super interested in what your friend thinks about this albino finch.
