Okra blooms are gorgeous, but then you get okra . . . . I planted okra for a few years (we are in Texas and if you want to fit in, you plant okra) until I found my husband really didn't like it, and with everyone else planting okra, it was hard to give away. Now I just have a couple of hibiscus plants that look like okra blooms, kinda. Yours certainly are pretty, Granddaddy!
Hibiscus, Cotton, Hollyhock and Okra are all in the Mallow family so their blooms are all very similar.
Wow! I had no idea okra blossoms were so pretty. You made me laugh @marlingardener, growing okra and now stealth hibiscus in order to "fit in". Somehow I don't think that is something you worry about.
