Whilst watching my recordings of the Australian Open Tennis on TV yesterday afternoon, I was swopping channels when I noticed this.
I know for years, that ski resorts have been "manufacturing" snow for ski jumps and downhill competitions.
But the absence of snow in the surrounding countryside and mountains was quite noticeable and we're only in January.

Great pics DHR. Snow in the mountains is above average in the ski resorts here . The ski birds are quite happy. I’m just glad my kids are old enough now to drive up on their own for week end ski trips.
I hope your ski resorts will catch up to the normal snow accumulation soon.
