This morning as I look out the window the leaves are glowing with brilliant color, almost as if the woods are on fire with the light streaming through from the sunrise. 100_2425.JPG

Beautiful. Interestingly enough, the trees in my area dont tend to get bright colors, mostly dull yellows and dark reds and brown :/ Brown County state park is often said to be a great place to view the changing colors, but to my eye, they're dull and boring. And we have Maples, Oaks, Beeches and other trees that are supposed to be brilliant!

The trees there really are impressive to see, and you have a good location.

Absolutely gorgeous. Sadly we have nothing to compare with your colours over here.

Carolyn, thank you for sharing your gorgeous fall colors! We don't have a brilliant autumn, just a subtle change of colors, so seeing your version of autumn is especially good.

Beautiful colors, one of many things I miss about living in Colorado.

WOW Those colors are intense! Sadly I don't think we are going to get that kind of show here this year. With the lack of rain, many of our leaves are looking like someone set a fire underneath them. All crumbly, and brittle.:(
Is that some type of spruce off to the right? It's gorgeous.

Mart, it is a spruce tree in the dark. the light was streaming through a gap and creating a brilliant show on the leaves.

Beautiful...we used to have a maple that got so bright red and beautiful that when the sun would shine on it, it seemed like it was glowing and it light up our bedroom.
