Hermans Tortoise

    But he isn't Hermans, he is ours! We have inherited a 5 year old Hermans tortoise from our cousin who could no longer offer him a decent home as he has moved into his own place, but it is a flat, and so no access to a garden. So, hoorah! We have Travis the tortoise. I have read the books and googled like mad as we have never owned a tortoise before, but any advice any of you could give me would be great. I have photos but have to download and resize them and it is my beddy byes time so I will do that tomorrow. In the meantime, looking forward to any advice at all. :)

    i know they should be going into hibernation relatively soon and it is a risky thing for them, a friend of ours bred them but cant recall much about them other than the heat level in the nursery can determine the gender of the baby tortoise!
