I purchased a cactus earlier this year from IKEA. I haven't been able to determine the exact type so I was looking for a little help! Right after I got it it flowered with little white buds. I am also concerned because the thorns have started to turn brown as I hope you can see in the images! What is the cause? I thought I was watering it correctly..
I think that's called a Ball Cactus. Is it in direct sunlight and how much do you water it? Morning sun is good but from what I have read it should be shaded from the afternoon sun and watered more than typical cactus plants are and make sure the pot has good drainage.
That's interesting! Yes it's in mostly direct sunlight I'd say! Drainage probably questionable... I'll have to look at it. I was feeling like maybe I watered it too much so that makes me feel better. Thank you!
