Been just over a year since we put down our great hunter Cooper the cat. Amazing how in a year the uptick in rabbits, squirrel, chipmunks etc I now see and have to deal with. He was my one stop pest control system.

Clay_22 I have always thought cats are great hunters too. We had a minx cat who adopted us. He kept the small critters at bay. They do claim their territory and beware if any other creature crosses . I do miss the occasional presents left on the porches.

The rabbits are out of control here this year, with and without a dog. I'm predicting an increase in the coyote population next year.

Since I have been mowing the pastures daily , spraying weeds and white clover I have not seen any rabbits or deer. Of course the season is still young. Knock on wood. Been catching gophers and moles using traps.
