    It is 01.16 and we have just finished jamming the Bleu de Belgique plums we harvested today. Now it’s time for me to check my eyelids for pinholes. Yawn.
    The larder is filling up now.

    Thanks for the encouragement, Mart. Chuckle. I will indeed look forward to the winter with great anticipation.
    I always complain about the canning, but truth be known, I actually enjoy it. It’s like mowing the lawn—you can see results right away, know waddah mean, Vern?
