We have Gold Finches come to the bird feeder in the winter time. The males are bright yellow and black in the summer. But in the winter they turn a dark yellowish green and look just like the females. This morning I saw a couple of males at the feeder and they were much yellower than what they have been. They are getting ready! Only 29 mre days until it gets here!

I've been noticing that 'my' birds are beginning to colour up too ready for breeding season. :) Spring is definitely on the horizon!!

I haven't noticed any change in the finches color here but I only have about 5 of them. I am sure all of the birds are waiting for spring to get here too...the frigid weather we are having again is getting quite boring...I want to get outdoors and have it nice weather..:)
