    The juvenile pileated has got used to me now and stays just a 5 or 6 feet away while I put some food out for her, yes its a female.

    She's posed for you in just the right place hasn't she? She must have known that landing on that tree trunk would show her off to her best advantage. :-D

    I think you're right Eileen! She's a cover-girl. I am not familiar with this bird... it looks like a large bird. Is it, Kildale?

    This is a very nice shot of the woodpecker. How nice that it isn't too shy of you.

    It is nice when they become used to you. It is a big bird, about 19 inches long.
