Ower Mel isn’t the only remarkable gardener in Canada.

Another pic, perhaps of a different grower:

    Cheers Netty.
Please forgive me for not including you in the remark above…of course you too are a super gardener living in Canada. I had just read a posting written by Mel and somehow only her name came out. I apologise, I apologise, I apologise.
Would it help if I knelt?
    Oh, I feel embarrassed.

Well, that is sorta close to you isn’t it. It would indeed make quite some courgette bread. Perhaps he ought to make a long one and see if it would come into the Guinness Book.

That is a crazy Zucchini!!! Ohhh Netty...I bet you could grow one of those bad boys in your growing climate! We could name it....have naming competitions on your giant zucchini. Funny how skinny it is. I thought it was a giant bean at first.

No feeling bad @Sjoerd - not ever. I've been all about squash lately, and little more northern than Netty, so it is definitely an understandable post. It all comes from a good place. :flower::heart::stew1::stew2::flower: That was a great link to Stephen Colbert. And look at the giant smile on that guys face !! hahahaha

Glad you liked those pics. I have never seen such a thing as that courgette.
I like the naming idea. That sounds like fun.

Haha thats hilarious! I grew Cucuzza zucchini one year, but it didn't grow half that size! My kids refuse to eat zucchini so I stick with the small green ones.

    This is a great thread!

I didn't know about Cucuzza zucchini. They would be quite the conversation piece.
