Yep, the new software will save it for you like that, it is a cool feature. I have found that handy several times when I am trying to do more things at the same time than my poor old brain can handle and forget to finish a post. While you are typing you will see a very faint notice show up above the More Options block below that says Draft Saved after that the message is there until you go back and wipe it out.
