This is a picture of a self watering garden

some minor technical issues need to be overcome but the advantages are enormous

Signifies a definite end to winter

As the snow melts the plants get watered no more having to remember

By starting now the growing season is extended.

Because I live in a shady area with many many oak trees, starting before the leaves emerge is a big plus.

When the seedlings reach the ground the soil will be soggy, easy to establish a solid grip on terra forma

Early fresh vegetables will be the envy of the neighborhood

Eliminates the guesswork about hardening off seedlings

I might apply for a patent on the new growing system :)

I really feel for you Jerry. I know what an accumulation of snow can be like. Here's hoping that spring arrives with you before you have any more gardening withdrawal symptoms.

Brandy is a sure cure for cabin fever, and you just might be suffering from it.
    Thanks for the chuckle!

I know how you feel. We had that much snow but had 2 mild days and it was gone. Don't worry Jerry ~ spring WILL find you!
