Up-cycling happy

    Well, I'm at it again! We have workmen swarming the place, rebuilding the workshop, repairing the barn, and doing some carpentry work on the house. That means some scrap lumber. A friend's husband makes bird houses and feeders to sell at their church's bazaar, so I called to see if he could use any of the scrap (I cleared this with the construction manager who was thrilled to not have to haul off a lot of scrap).
    Long story short, much of the scrap is going to be bird houses and feeders. All three of us (me, the manager, and the husband) are happy, and there will be some very happy birds next spring!

    Eileen, as soon as I find a used tiara, I'll be the queen of recycling. I just hate waste!
