V.E.Day Celebration

    We managed to get tickets for the concert in our local church, plus some for a couple of our campers who regularly attend 1940's period events :)

    The Church was suitably kitted out.

    These are our friends, Kevin actually has a 1940's press camera with a black and white film. Looking forward to seeing his pics when he gets them developed.

    The concert was excellent, our friend's Daughter hosted and sung all the old wartime songs. I even knew the words to some of them :D

    I would love to have gone to that. Dressing up in period costumes is one of my favorite things !! :D

    Thanks for posting that Zigs.

    So many sacrificed so much, gave up life, freedoms, physical well being, so that their families and countrymen could live free of the brutal tyrants and blood-thirsty madmen. It's something we should all remember and honor.

    I also like seeing the historic churches and other buildings there. I envy that, a bit.
