@Pacnorwest there's really no telling what that storm will do. Last week it was supposed to sleet and snow here but it took a north easterly turn snd didn't get this far south. Last year, when it did sleet and snow, they kept going back and forth: "it's gonna snow !! No, most likely just rain !! , No, sleet, just some sleet and freezing rain.!!" A person doesn't know what to believe. Jacksonville just a 40-50 minite drive so, not far and it's obviously on the Atlantic where as I'm smack dab in the center of the bottom border line of Georgia. Being on the Ocean helps mitigate the temperature. Being inland we get a bit colder when being invaded by northern storms that come down to the south. Today the low was 52°f and they expect lots of clouds, though I see the sun shining through them. The high to be 68°f.Wind is out of the ENE gusting to 18mph. I forgot to add that Atlanta is in panic mode. They are supposed to really get hit with ice and Atlanta is quite hilly. They had the Governor on TV speaking to people to stay home and hunker down.
I’m hoping the storms don’t go south to hit your place Anniekay. It’s a doozy. Once in a life time storm Fern. already 16 states have declared a state of emergency. Power outages and ice conditions. sending good vibes to all those caught in the crosshairs of Fern. Already 5000 flights have been cancelled .
Had to come in about an hour ago as the rain began coming down much heavier. I dread to think what the state of our lane is like now, so glad we haven't be out and about today. This was taken yesterday during our walk back down our lane after a day in the city and then calling in to visit my brother. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c9qp5ydq0zqo
Nice shadow pic of the tree in a puddle of water. You have a creative eye… Massive storm freezing temps hit half of the US.
51°f 74 high. It's damp, foggy and there's a breeze coming from the east/ northeast. Rain predicted for today and tomorrow. They think the snow and ice will stay north of me but...they're often incorrect. With this wind coming from off the water, reminds me of perfect conditions for a Nor'easter which brings lots of snow if it's cold enough outside.
I spent the last week in my yard working on my garden. I moved those things to a new spot and took that thing by the fence and replaced it with a new one. Broke by back seperating all that stuff in the back and had to get help to fix that thing that broke. I am exhausted but it is all worth it. I am so excited to show everyone here my new garden, a masterpeice. See pics below

In Jersey JD has a blizzard. They normally don't get that much snow on that peninsular. I'll hold judgement on the new decor, @Jersey Devil until the snow melts .
