The rain is still lingering but the bulk has passed over now so keeping optimistic that I will get in some garden time after lunch. Very mild through.
48°f low and 70 high. We had a downpour last night. Sunny all day. I was sitting on my back porch last night after 9pm and heard this loud sound coming from the West. It got louder and louder then I realized, it was rain coming. It was moving towards me very fast, hit the roof of my shed then the house. It was raining "cats 'n dogs" as the saying goes but, it lasted just 2 or 3 minutes and that was it.

I have been going around the whole house collecting up all things washable!!! I plan a whole evening of feeding the washing machine. ....and a whole day out in the garden. So excited at the thought of a lovely sunny day heading to the Uk tomorrow.

It's been torrential rain for most of the afternoon . We've just arrived back home and the roads around here have become quite flooded ...again. I felt so sorry for pedestrians as they were getting soaked by all the splash back from the heavy Friday rush hour traffic. I'm trying desperately to stay optimistic that they have tomorrow's '' weather correct as I already have the 1st of several machine loads of laundry churning away.
