Very heavy rain due to arrive around the time I'm leaving to meet friends for a cinema trip. Our local news has warned that in some areas it could potentially turn to snow, but I doubt there will be an in our area. Later tonight and through the early hours of tomorrow we are being hit by more strong winds peaking here inland to 50mph but along the coast and around the IOW they will reach up to 70 mph. Just hope the back roof tiles stay put this time and the greenhouse doesn't shuffle about as it did last time!!
We have a dense fog advisory. I can't see more than 150' or so. 60°f low and 73 for the high. It's nice and comfortable outside despite the fogginess..
Oreti & Anniekay same weather here. High winds heavy rain along with mixed sleet/snow. I was prepared and battened down all the hatches…so to speak. Dense heavy fog so thick that even my problems can’t find me. That’s a good thing for now.
All afternoon we had rain, at 5pm it changed to snow and it still is. It's more like sleet but very difficult to walk on, i hope that it doesn't freeze overnight. A moderate breeze from the north north east temp 0c feels like -7c Got extra milk in, some veg and a white loaf just in case it's like this on Saturday.

I think that it's stopped sleeting with a moderate breeze from the north north west temp 2c feels like -3c I've had to get my snow boots out because my shoes got wet through.
Same here @Logan , my pair of ordinary walking shoes are now stuffed with newspaper and placed on drying rack....my feet got soaked yesterday. So today for our city wanderings I am donning my ' serious ' black waking boots..hob nails and all So hate getting wet shoes and socks!!! All calm here now the winds here rattled on until 5ish this morning. ....have yet to check out the roof, greenhouse and garden They peaked to 75 mph out in the Solent around The Needles.
