My son works at Wal Mart in the electronics department. And we had decided back in Sept that we wouldn't exchange gifts this year as we are all so hard to buy for. Plus if we want something, we usually go out and buy it. So tonight when he came home from work he handed me a Wal Mart bag and said Merry Christmas! I opened it up and inside was a 6 dvd set of the mini-series Band of Brothers. It follows one company of men all the way through WW II in Europe. It seems that Target Dept stores slashed the price on it and Wal Mart will match anybody's prices. Plus he got his employees 10 % off too. It normally sells for about $50 and he paid quite a bit less than half that for it. So now I have something to watch while I am getting over my cold! We had already gotten him several gift cards that he can use for gas, meals etc.

I think having a cold and sitting watching DVD's is an excellent way to pass the time. I'm sure you'll feel better just immersing yourself in those terrific films. :-D Btw what a great idea the gift vouchers are that you got for your son - so handy when money is tight.

How considerate of your boy! Watching films is my favourite pastime when I'm ill.

What a good son! Those will help pass the time while you are getting over your cold.
Gift cards are great! I'm giving several this Christmas to those hard to buy for (read my parents) They insist they have everything they need and not to get them anything. Well everyone needs to eat so I got them gift cards from the grocery store :)

I hope you are over your cold really soon and watching a movie is a great way to pass the time. My DH just got one and felt miserable last night and did not sleep well..I know who will be the next one with the cold....:)
