At 9.50pm we had torrential rain and gusty winds for about 10mins and stopped, before then it was steady rain all day and gusty winds at times.

    When it pours
Uh-Oo  Hope you garden won’t be scattered with wind debris. That happens a lot here in winter. Imagine everything covered in pine needles and tree limbs. Makes my joints sore just thinkin bout it…:notworthy:

Well it's almost midnight and the rain is still coming down and the wind is howling all around the house, especially the old section that is over 120 years old and its creaking merrily away!!
We have to head out just after 8am tomorrow to attend an early appointment in the city ...and breakfast afterwards and I just hope it calms down abit by then.
It's been non stop all day.
It's incredibly mild though tonight at 17C ( feels like 19C) not sure how I will cope as we obviously can't have our bedroom windows open as they would probably be blown of their hinges.
    This is our current situation.

Oreti stay safe. Wind/rain storms are truly a frightening experience. If trees and elec lines could be down and be a hazard when traveling after storms. Tomarrow check to see if your roads are clear. Hope you have a safte trip.
I have some white out driving snow storm trips that can curl her hair…

Thanks Pac, just off to check around the garden before heading off.
The wind has finally eased up a bit and the big bonus is that the rain has ceased too. We are set to have some amount of wind hanging around all day.

Just returned home, mostly dry today but we did have one very heavy downpour while we were in the city this morning. Apart from that we've had a fair amount of sunshine. The sea looked quite choppy today, wouldn't have wanted to have been on a ferry crossing that's for sure!! :smt009
