Guess what time I'm due to walk to the bus to go into town and meet my friends for a Christmas get together?? Yep midday!!! I think we'll all be looking a bit bedraggled!!
Diabolical is the word that sums it up right now. Gutters are overflowing and so are the water butts which we have now left their taps open to drain away. Our bins ( which where emptied today) have taken on a life of their own and we've had to chase them down and secure them firmly. Luckily one of my lovely friends is now picking me up for our get together.
It's all clouded up and damp outside. I felt a few stray drops of rain while outside with Rags this morning but no real rain yet. 55°f high hopefully, a very soggy 66 !!
Atmospheric River round 2. Way too much rain so fast 2” expected today. Trees downed due to saturated soil. Landslides and power outages , flooding. School closures , roads blocked by flooding or trees blocking roadways. Today another nail biting day. Again blasted by debris due to high winds, 45mph now. Snow bunnies are happy lots of snow in the mountains but roads closed due to trees downed across roads and windy warnings on ski slopes.
It started raining at 12pm and it's still raining at 16.43 pm. With a gentle breeze from the south south west temp 9c feels like 8c
Back home now and its still absolutely dire outside. Most roads in town are flooded ,driving down them caused waves and I really pity the pedestrians as they were getting drenched. Our lane is flooded too so not sure if we will be able visit my brother tomorrow. I expect it's impassable at the top end and as it's a no through road the only way down to our house is to walk it. The wind is still howling around all corners of our house creating some very errie noises and rattling the windows in the old part of it ( 100 years +). The rain is still bucketing down too. 12C Hibernation time.

Still raining.here !! It paused just enough at 5pm for me to get Ragsy to go outside after supper !! She's a Prima Dona, she hates rain, wind, cold, heat ....etc. !!
Still pouring rain here and it doesn’t stop Roxy from going outside one bit. She lives to run in the rain muddy paws and all. It’s 4:19 almost dark.
Thank god I have a real housedog !! @Pacnorwest Rags avoids the mud like we would the Plague !! Still raining here too.
