    I thought it was a bit funny. Salt in tea? I like salt in most foods but in tea , yikes a bit off the wall. That scientist in the US did cause quite a stir…

    I know people who think it's sacrilege to put salt on sliced tomatoes. But that's what I grew up with, and they seem bland without it.

    As for tea, I like chai a lot. And Constant Comment, which contains orange zest. I don't know about salt.

    Salt wakes up the tomato taste, with Rasberry vinaigrette and candied walnuts.

    It's good but what will you do with them when you catch them?
    We don't have that problem here but the odd one could get into the loft and cause damage.

    @Logan that was exactly my question. Take ‘em down the road to bug someone else? No…don’t want them in my car…besides they are like rats run so fast and creepy. And they carry diseases, not going there.

    I think I’ll have to call the wildlife extension service ask whether they will send someone to collect them or what else would they recommend. Right now I’m using peppermint , caster oil , hot pepper sprays to discourage them from digging under the foundation , under fav trees and shrubs. They have been restless this year. Killing far too many trees and fav plants over the years . I feel like between the deer, moles, voles, mice, gophers, rabbits, ground squirrels I’m surrounded by to many invading varmints and even those tiny ants are staring to come in the house …again. It’s a relentless battle. Now I’m thinkin , “I can’t wait for a hard freeze this winter.” I’m exhausted . No rest for the wicked. :( So tomorrow the spraying starts over again…it’s like the movie Groundhogs Day. The same repetitious preventative measures every day. Maybe I will call in the Bomb Squad…:whistling:

    Over here it's against the law to release them once trapped, they have to be humanely killed.
    That was the dilemma we were faced with 2 years ago when they took it upon themselves to destroy a brand new covering we had over our caravan.....completely ruined it n!! We just couldn't kill them. We did actually break the law a couple of times and took 3 captured ones to a big country park about 5 miles away.....but could've easily been reported so stopped doing so. They eventually lost interest in the covering and we purchased a new one.....so far no problem.:fingerscrossed:

    @Oreti
    That’s the conundrum and an extremely confusing problem. The damage they cause is at an incredibly high cost and they are hard to catch. How did you catch them? Live trap? What bait did you use?

    I had a similar issue with feral cats picking on my cats. Huge vet bills. So set up a live trap for feral cats. Caught a raccoon the first night let it go. UGG… Every time I caught a wild cat I had to take it to be euthanized. In my car a cat incident with urine on the floor carpet which took forever to get rid of that horrible smell. I felt so guilty after taking the cats to the animal shelter . I always donated to the shelter. Never did that again. Now my cats stay inside.
