This seems too small now and it was a 359x240 pixels. I am not sure why I can't get the same numbers for every picture.

Sherry you may have to do this every time as my pixels are roughly this size or a fraction higher for my pic's mate.

A good width to aim for with resizing for GardenStew is 800 pixels.

I use Photoshop to do my resizing. I have tried other programs to resize/resample but they seem to distort the picture.
I make a folder on my desktop and name it Web Ready Pics, or something like that. I will store all of my new resized images there.
Im not sure if Elements has this option but when I open the program:
I select file>automate> web photo gallery.
A new box will open. This is where I will choose my image output options
Select the folder of pictures you want to change. >check the box "to include subfolder' (this will select all folders, if you have them organized by folder)>
Choose an output folder(this is the folder on your desktop named, web ready)>
In the sizing options I select Large Images> resize>custom>500pixels>
I want to constrain 'Both' (select this one) width and height>
JPEG Quality is set to Maximum> of 10>
File size> set this to large.

You can also customize this web page to different styles, borders and colors.
    >Once you press OK> the program will take over and automatically start creating you resized images.
You may get an error saying couldnt resized all images. Thats ok, photoshop was only looking for jpeg formats.
When its done, close the program and open the folder on your desktop called 'Web Ready Pics'.
Your new photos will be in the images folder.
I use an older version pf photoshop. Its relative.

I just use my smartphone and it offers me to resize my pics automatically when I try to upload.
