I have a question about 1 of my plants. I think it's a purple jew. 1 of my stalks broke off and I was wondering if anyone can tell me how or if there is any way to save it?
Wandering Jew (purple Jew) is easy to root. Take the stalk and 1) put the stalk in moist potting soil and keep the soil moist, but not wet--roots will develop, or 2) put the stalk in water and wait for roots to develop, which will be rather quickly, or 3) just lay the stalk on moist potting soil so that each joint touches soil, and roots will develop at the joints. I don't know where you are, but here in Central Texas, Wandering Jew is used as a ground cover under trees. Great color, very reliable plant, and can be shared with neighbors!

Where you are it won't be long before you will breaking off stalks yourself to keep it under control I love mine, it transplants very easily and lives under almost any conditions.....sun, shade, drought, warm winters.
I haven't seen or heard of 'Wandering Jew' for years. I used to have one that was in a hanging basket. It was gorgeous and grew down several feet. It was super easy to root and I'd break off chunks and have them started in little pots all over the place.
