Some pics of the yard today. Just rambling around...
She never knew a lot of things planted here. Like the Passiflora.

I have about 450 rain lily bulbs I transplanted from the invasive Alstromeria bed. These are headed to Tabula Rasa.

Asimina triloba. (Paw Paw). I have 3 trees that now bloom, but no fruit. In the mid 80's I found a Paw Paw patch loaded with fruit in Sabine Parish, alongside a small stream. Not only were they delicious, but I got over 600 seeds.

This planting is not on my property. It's hard to see, but there are Golden Rain Trees and Buckeyes planted.

Cow Oak. About 5 yrs. ago there was a house that burnt down, one block over. A big old 2 story house. I had known about the massive cow oak on the corner, and collected some acorns from it..now this is here.

    Rain trees planted along fence.

    Basswood. (Tilia caroliniana).

Deep down, my wife loved Agaves. She just never owned up to it.

The pots behind these Amaryllis are full of Lycoris radiata. Going to Tabula Rasa. I think I'm up around 500 bulbs.

Live Oak branching over the house.

Elizabeth didn't play a musical instrument, but I play a pretty good Guitar... and Clarinet..."Rocky Mountain High", which she could never do. Me neither. Those high notes.

"Now his life is full of wonder, but he still knows some fear, of a simple thing he cannot comprehend..."

But when it got down to the real stuff, I would quote this...

"Eddie Willers walked on, wondering why he always felt it at this time of day, the sense of dread without reason. No, he thought, not dread, there's nothing to fear: just an immense, diffused apprehension, with no source or object. He had become accustomed to the feeling, but he could find no explanation for it..."

I like the looks of the Rain Tree. How big do they get?
