Paratha is a very common flat fried bread in Pakistan, as well as in India too. It is often plain, however sometimes one can add stuffings in it also. Like onion and potato slices, but I have seen people use carrots with olives too.

There is actually no rule as to what you can or can't add in as a filling. So everyone is encouraged to experiment as much as they like - However parathas with cauliflower fillings are thought to be the absolute best of the best!

Of course, when it comes to food of this region. It is always very hotly debated between Indians and Pakistanis, regarding which is indigenous to their own territory - Each accuses the other of shameless cultural and culinary thievery!

Such is how it always was, always is, and forever will be - Between India and Pakistan!

Cauliflower and lettuce over here are both called Gobi. So this is called Gobi ka Paratha. Therefore, in line with a long standing Pakistani tradition, (of going out of our way to ruin everything which is Indian) - A group of Pakistani boys ruined a popular Indian movie love song from the 1970s.

They ruined this song for all time, because cauliflower paratha otherwise is actually too nice to ruin - And besides cauliflower paratha is actually Pakistani, (no matter what Indians keep saying). So here is the popular Indian love song, now turned into the cauliflower paratha song - ENJOY!!!

    :snicker:  :smt044

And here is the actual Indian song, which these Pakistani boys mercilessly ruined above... I think you will have to engage the subtitles option in YouTube to understand it.
