But I don't want to spend hundreds on a built-in grill. Can I purchase a regular stainless grill and not install the legs, then build my outdoor kitchen around that?

Chris--I am sorry but I have no idea. What about contacting the manufacture(s) and asking that question?

I take it that you live in a warm part of the world? An outside kitchen has always been very appealing to me, but I live in New England & winter being what it is, we would hardly get any use out of it.

Good luck with your project. If you go ahead & build it I know we would all love to see photos.

I think you should consult an contractor for outdoor kitchen. The contractor can give tell you the advantages and disadvantages of outdoor kitchen. As when I remodelled my kitchen denver renovations, they didn't allow for outdoor kitchen.
