    Hi all!

    My latest quest is for a potting table for the new garden. We’ve hit a couple of flea markets and a whole lot of thrift stores. We were hoping to find some old wood or metal piece of furniture we could upcycle into a potting table. Nada yet.

    I’d love some more ideas! What do y’all use for potting and gardening storage/work?

    My potting table is a frame from an old barbecue grill with an extra large photo developing tray turned upside down for the work surface.

    I have a shelf in the barn for mixing soils, cleaning pots, etc. My husband built a garden table that I use almost daily for putting produce on, holding tools until I need them, setting harvest baskets on, and of course, petting cats.

    I have a very nice potting bench Mike made me years ago. Unfortunately, I rarely use it as it is in the greenhouse and it is too warm to be comfortable there even with the fan on. We have a covered patio so I use our patio table for a potting table.

    I recycled trash from other people's rubbish. I have a big tub... Like a huge sink, as it has a drain threaded onto the bottom of it, but it is huge..it holds a bale of compressed potting mix and it is suspended between two wooden horses. And I have a tall table made of wood someone put to the curb that works well for transplanting. It looks like it was homemade for a workshop. Nothing fancy.

    After a month or two of using the garden table, we put cup holder hooks under the overhang along the side. Now I have a trowel, a claw weeder, a scoop, and a pair of small pruning shears hanging. Very handy, and very useful! I'd recommend having potting/harvesting/pruning tools handy on a potting table.

    @Jerry Sullivan : that’s really inventive!

    @marlingardener : I have a carry-bag for the tools. One thing I’m hoping to incorporate will be a closed in shelf to store it on.

    @2ofus : that’s what I was using, the patio bistro table. it’s a bit out of the way now with my new gardening area around the side of the house

    @carolyn : I keep prayin that someone will curb something with fantastic potential!
