Used to have large house plants. Gave them all away but don’t miss them. Because I have lots of little plants. Mainly cactus and succulents because they are so forgiving of total neglect. For nostalgia's sake I got a purple passion plant at Christmas. Love the fuzzy purple leaves, but now I know why I let it go by the wayside. To keep them looking good you really need to have starts going all the time so when they get leggy or scruffy you can pop some new starts into the old pot. Yes, I have a significant donkey collection. Nostalgia once again
I really like the way you have displayed your collection of little plants Jewell. All the ornaments and colours set them off nicely too.
When you said "I have a significant donkey collection" I spent some time trying to figure out what donkey plants were. DOH!!! I love the way you've displayed everything Jewell. I particularly enjoyed the first pic--plants hanging in the window and displayed on the table...the spacing, different length, quality of light coming through the glass....just gorgeous!
Thank you Eileen. I do like “bits and bobs” with my plants. Ronni, don’t be so hard on yourself. The first picture on the center bottom shelf has a donkey tail succulent. That counts to doesn’t it? I have several starts around Thank you for your generous compliments.
Gail, the statue is Lakshmi, a goddess of prosperity, I was told. It was a strong pretty woman on a lotus, so she got tucked between my plants and scented candles.
Thanks for sharing as I love these kind of statues..i have to budha's in the living room and scented candles here and there in the home. Yours must have been expensive just been looking on Amazon at small one and quite expensive..this one is £135 and only 6.5" tall.
I love your Buddha. Have never seen one quite like it. I have some small Buddhas, Ganesha, White Tara and an inherited Jesus. Mine were all free or very inexpensive. Most were junk shop/garage sale finds. Lakshmi was less than $25 on Amazon. After getting her I wanted to get her for a friend but the price had skyrocketed. They must have been a new seller and quickly corrected their mistake. Guess I was very lucky that day.
