Description: Commonly called 'Painted Leaf Begonias' or 'Rexs', they have the most fabulous showy foliage. Rex begonias are technically a rhizomatous begonia, but are often put in a group of their own because of their amazing iridescent foliage.

They leaves are streaked with many different colors, such as pink, white, purple and yellow. They come in many different shapes as well. Now while they are well known for their fantastic foliage, Rex Begonias do flower, although admittedly the little pink flowers do get rather lost amongst the myriad of colours and patterns in the leaves.
