Description: This meadow was in terrible shape in the early 1970's from everyone camping and walking over it. Thank you to the Park Service, rangers, conservation and every hiker that has carefully walked only the trails and camped only in the campgrounds. Now it is almost pristine, with just enough trails to explore the variety of alpine life. Also, some squirrels, chipmunks, and signs of bears.
