Description: We have three hives in the barnyard. The bricks on top are to keep the lids from blowing off during one of our "mild Texas breezes." The chicken wire rolls in front of each hive are skunk discouragers. The hive on the far right has a robber screen in front. This was the weakest hive, and other bees might go in and steal honey. The screen lets the resident bees come and go (they know to go up and over) but confuses any thieving bees.
