This was brought home from a nursery, during a June clearance. It's the only one we got, we wanted to see what it grew up to be. There was a little name tag stuck in the pot, but it didn't make it home.

It's about two feet tall, and almost as wide. The flowers are coming out quite rapidly. Every couple of days there's more.

Reminds me of Victoria Blue Salvia. Or at least a salvia of some kind. Does it have square stems?

Trudy, that's it, i remember now, i'll have to write it on the wall somewhere, so i won't forget.

I googled it, just now, according to about.com (http://landscaping.about.com/od/flowers ... a_blue.htm), it attracts humming birds, we'll have to save some seeds. Maybe that's why they found the feeder so fast, we just hung it up on Saturday. Every time we round the corner though they fly away.

    Thank You Trudy.

Your welcome, they are very easy to root to. I've never tried to save seeds from them. They are perennials here.

It looks like one I have and was told it was in the Duranta family. Are the blooms only on the ends? Mine attracts butterflies and hummers also.

Trudy, hopefully it'll come back again. We have come to like this little addition. Maybe we can plant a row of them over by the grapes.

Gaylyn, your little Duranta plant is very pretty.
