I am Popeye The Sailor Man .... I love Spinach. I do not have a big plot of land, hence I do not grow them myself. I buy from the wet market.

I've never met a veggie I didn't like. There are things like asparagus, artichokes and those mini butter lettuce heads that some think of as a bit on the elegant side, but are they really better than buttered corn on the cob or baked sweet potato?

I just can't pick a favorite vegetable. All I can say is my favorite vegetable is the one on my plate. :-D

    Choices choices
    This is a hard one.
Maybe it is easier for me to mention the ones I do not like.
Gosh even that is hard too.
I got it - I eat pattypans and brussels sprouts - but if given a choice I would rather choose other veggies.

I couldn't live without spinach don't think. I use it every day!
but I get the most joy out of rhubarb. The smell, the crisp sound it makes when chopped, the sauce on icecream...the beautiful pies and cakes...

    Asparagus is a Delight

Asparagus definitely deserves a place in the garden. It is so beautiful, is one of the first veggies to come up in the springtime and the feathery, fern-like appearance of a plant not harvested is fabulous! My favorite thing to do in early spring, while checking my "babies" for buds, etc., is to cut off a tender asparagus spear and munch on it while I roam. If you have a spot you can dedicate to it, asparagus is very worthwhile.

My favorite to eat are potatoes. We threw some eyes in at the edge of our landlord's garden last year and we got four of them. This year we have our own house and a big plot of land, so we're looking forward to growing pumpkins, potatoes, melons and maybe some carrots for our dog.

My favourite veggies come from my garden. To me, the difference from the grocery store veggies and home-grown one is like night and day.

I love picking my organic veggies fresh from the vine. So right now, my favourite veggie is lettuce/spinach/mesclun mix from the greenhouse.
When the tomatoes, scarlet runner beans, cucumbers, squash and onions are ready for picking, they will be my favourite.

Love all those veggies, but I have to say that Asparagus tops them all. I get excited when those green and purple spears come up and the ferny leaves make a beautiful foil for flowers too.

    it has to be tomatoes!
i can eat them until i'm full and then get things with tomato sauce and put tomatoes in the sauce and eat the tomatoes with tomato sauce on them! i've never done it but i bet i could wash it down with tomato juice too! little cherry tomatoes are the best because they are sweet-ish and if you eat them when they are orange then they are also sour! tomatoes with salt sprinkled on them (and pepper if you like that) is more enjoyment than humans are allowed so you have to make sure the Veggie Police don't see you enraptured by the taste! tomatoes with onions and green peppers and italian dressing is under tight security at the buffets because people overindulge and end up sprawled on the floors with silly grins on their faces and no way to get them to leave!
