This is from a cutting I took last fall and over wintered: Sorry Gang, this is a slide show, click the picture and you will see the rest.
It looks yellow to me do they change color as they open? It is cool to see a cutting growing no matter what the color :-D :-D
I have had terrible luck overwintering my Brugs, but I think I've finally gotten one thru the winter. I've also gotten a few cutting successfully growing Lovely bloom Cajunbelle...I can almost smell it from here.
Toni, it is pink when it opens all the way. Click the picture to see the slideshow, sorry I forgot to add that. Netty they do smell awesome. I cut mine back after the first frost, then when we have a freeze warning I cover it with a styrofoam ice chest.
I just purchased a purple one from a garden center yesterday. I've been lucky up until this year, and have had the white variety reseed and come back over the winters...but no such luck this year, so I had to buy another plant. The white ones are the most fragrant, but I love all the other colors that are available now.
Thanks everyone, I can't wait for the next flush of blooms, I should have 15-18 blooming at once, and it will only get better.
I just bought a white one and was scared to plant it outside with all of our wet and cool weather...spring what happened to you???? I love the pink and the great slideshow, thank you for sharing.
