    Hi,
I'm Linda and I live in st louis missouri. I have a small dog rescue for huskys and malamutes. I do this out of my home so its more personal and I can train one on one.
Also im an avid gardener in my "front" yard for the back is hopeless with the animals lol.
I love gardening, quilting, crafts, movies, cooking from scratch. Nothing like home made bread or other foods. Im a retired truck driver now going on 15 years. and we just are now putting in a Japanese garden out front on the side of the yard. i'll post a photo. Thank you for having me and I hope I get to meet you all soon.
    Sincerely
    Linda

Hi Linda, welcome to GardenStew from north Texas. Sounds like you have quite a few hobbies to keep you busy like me....just never enough hours in the day is there?

Looking forward to more photos of your Japanese style garden. The red Maple is gorgeous.

Thank You im just stuck on color or something other then just the "white rock" lol
Just not sure what to do since its on a slope and i dont have much room from the tree to the house so I was thinking of orange azaleas but i want something that is stunning at least through out the summer.

Hello Linda and welcome to our forums this time from Scotland. :-D I have six Japanese maples in my garden as they are such lovely trees. I must try to get one the same colour as yours to add to my collection. I also have azaleas in red, white, shocking pink, purple and lilac and they make an excellent choice for a Japanese garden. I would like to collect even more colours but am running out of space. I look forward to seeing what you decide to plant beside your beautiful tree.

Welcome Linda from northeast Wisconsin. My husband and I just signed up for a Golden Retriever rescue and are waiting to hear. We thought we'd go through a rescue this time, vs. going through a breeder. Once my two "old boys" are gone, I'll consider fostering an older dog. Over 2200 Goldens in Wisconsin alone that are in need of loving homes. I'm looking forward to your gardening and pack success stories!
