Both of those fotos look very attractive, B. Are those the wild Lupines, or are they from the garden center?

Ooh, I like both of those. Ilike the sturdy look of the lupines and the delicacy of the BB.

    Thanks everyone..

The Lupines are seeds from heaven knows where .
Someone whipped on me .. Not young .. No they arent wild here.

I am hoping to get red to sprout. So far the seeds failed me.

    Thanks for looking all..

I love lupines too but here I am fighting the aphids...I am trying to go organic and not harm nature in any way so I have been crushing the little critters with my fingers. I did try spray with dishsoap and some oil and that didn't work..thank you for sharing...I love the purple.

    Thanks Sherry,

No insects on those for us.
But all summer we suffer from Japanese Beetle chewing all the flowers.. Even the marigolds get the leaves and buds chewed..

So I tried drowning them in hot water but have to pick forever..LOl

    These grow like nuts here..
    thanks for looking....

Ps .wouldnt the seed catalog folks turn green if they knew our games>LOL

They're such nice blooms, and so easy to grow too! Your little baby's breath looks very fragile, but I guess it isn't to come back for you year after year.

Your purple lupines are wonderful! I am trying to coax some red ones to grow also. The problem I have is some kind of powdery mold on the leaves. Guess they aren't getting enough air circulation.
