The first posie of sweetpeas from my allotment. Lots of buds developing, so providing I keep cutting them, I should be able to have a fresh posie every week.

They really are one of my favourite cut flowers. :D I've had no luck with them for two years running, so next year I'm buying my seed somewhere else.

    Arggggghhhhhhh! :D :D :D
I'm green, green, green with envy. Those look VERY nice.
I have only a couple of buds on mine and the plants themselves are quite short still. It's going to be well into July before my wigwam is full.

I really do miss that smell. Do you recall the names of any of your Lathyrus sorts?

Those are pretty EJ. I've never had luck with Lathyrus either. Maybe I'll try them again next year.

I decided to grow wallflowers this year in place of the usual sweet peas. Now I wish I'd grown the SP's as usual as I miss their scent and dainty flowers in the garden.

I planted some when I planted the morning glories. Only two or three bloomed. One a wine color and a cream colored one. The stems were not big enough to pick. Maybe I will plant some again next year. I love sweet peas. I think I got the seed from Netty. dooley

Those are really lovely EJ. I bought my first posy in yesterday, they fill the air with a beautiful fragrance :)

No Sjoerd, actually, I think they were saved seed from Old Jack on the allotment. I pick up packets of seed very cheaply at the end of the season at our local garden centre when they are selling them off for 20p a packet, and labelling isn't my strong point I'm afraid.

I can smell them through my computer screen. Like Sjoerd, mine are lagging behind this season.

Oh well, Emma---a pretty face doesn't really NEED a name to be appreciated does it.
