This has been in my yard since we moved here over 12 years ago and I have no clue what it is. It is probably over 50 years old as most of the landscape bushes here that were planted when the house was built.

Very pretty! I think it must be some sort of Deutzia.

The leaves and blooms remind me of a Weigela bush. There are a number of varieties out there.

I do not know what this is, but I think that if you have the space to let it grow naturally, unpruned, it would reward you with graceful, wands of flowers over the entire shrub and make you the envy of the neighborhood.

I know this was posted ages ago....but if it's still in your yard I think it may be "Linnaea amabilis".

Well spotted Rachel :like:,..ages ago is right Wow,..i do believe you got it correct,.."Linnaea amabilis".

If that bush wasn't pruned so much it would look as a beautiful bush covered all over with blooms
