It's hard to believe that this little furry bundle is going to turn into such a powerful bird of prey. Let's hope all three eggs hatch and that all the chicks survive.
Wow, that is really neat to watch. The Eagle seems so gentle, and the nest looks so cushiony and comfy. Eagle nests really are amazing, looks like they work hard to put them together!

Oh that's nice to see. Like any new mom, she's fascinated by her baby! Thanks Gail. I watched the Eagle Cam a lot last year but can't get it to load this year, not sure why. I wonder if these are the same parents? Did you read anything about that Gail? I went to grad school in Norfolk -- have been to the botanical garden many times.
Daisy, I am not sure. I did not follow the eagles last year. I know they breed twice a year. There are some directions on the webpage if you are having trouble seeing the web cam. It is fun to check in on them, they seem to be excellent parents. :-D
Happy to report I got it to work! Gail did you see the link to the eaglet who was born in 2008 with a growth on his beak? It is interesting to see how they treated him and how he is doing now.
I will have to check it out. There is so much good information & slides on this site and I haven't had time to take it all in. I have been reading the moderated questions & answers when I check in.
EH!!?? You've got them in Tennessee as well? I am very surprised to hear that. Well, they are majestic birds and you must become excited when you see one. I have seen these big birds when I was in Alaska. I recall that there was a big hoo-doo when a kid shot one of them. I really cannot imagine why anyone, young or old would want to do that.
Hubby and I are So Pleased to follow these birds. I was born and raised in Norfolk. Hubby and I lived there for ten years and were regulars at the Botanical Gardens.There weren't any nesting eagles there when we left to move here to Tenn. Exciting!!! :-D
