    Hi everyone!

My name is Dave, I'm 27, just married and the recipient of a new to us, but old and decrepit country home, hehe. (It's like the Moneypit, 4 out of 6 appliances have failed, plus the boiler and the electrical service itself.)

But, with our new found space, we're going to start a garden! I worked for a couple of summers in a conservatory in college, but in terms of having a personal garden, we're pretty much completely new, and hopefully not starting too late this year.

So, anyways, I've already been reading and soaking up information here and hopefully I can ask you guys a couple questions and share some things I learn with others along the way :)

    Thanks everybody!

It's great to welcome you, from Maryland. Good luck with your new garden and new house. Congratulations to you both, as well.

Hi Dave, welcome to GardenStew from north Texas. Ask questions please, that's the way we all learn new things.

Photos of your new garden area would be wonderful to see, even if you don't have anything planted yet.

Thanks for the welcome everybody :) I was planning on taking pictures as I went so I could look back on it and be like, "Oh boy." I'll be sure to post them as I go :) It'll definately nice to be in the country after living in major metropolitan cities for so long. Looking forward to green everywhere instead of concrete :)
