I am doing work with GE's Pledge for Better Health campaign to encourage women to make a pledge during National Women's Health Week in May. I have decided to make several pledge's and one is to start using more veggies in my meals which should be easy with Spring in full bloom. What is a pledge you would make for better health?

I don't know. I already eat lots of fruit and veggies, I exercise several hours per day, go to bed fairly early and also spend lots of time outside while I exercise, but I guess I've got room for improvement. Cut back on the coffee maybe?

I took my own pledge to eat healthier when I quit smoking in February 2009.
    I must say...I feel GREAT!

I think that's a great pledge, DCGirl! Sometimes making a formal decision really gets things going, you know? You've motivated me. My pledge is this: before Women's Health Week in May, I'm going to catch up on the health screenings that I'm behind schedule on. Oh my goodness, that's almost 1 a week!! YIKES.

Good luck with your pledge -- I'd love to hear about any yummy veggie recipes you find.

And Netty -- congrats on just passing your 1 year no smoking anniversary. THAT is an awesome thing!!!!!

Congratulations on all of your wonderful pledges. I agree putting something in writing really helps keep me motivated. One of the nice features of the Pledge for Better Healthis you can see what other people in your are are pledging. I find it motivating to see other people's pledges - it kind of keeps me on track a little. Thanks again for sharing your pledges with me and good luck!
