Finaly caught my first hummingbird on camera

    I know it isn't the best picture but it cropped and enlarged a couple times to try and show the detail. This is a beautiful one, 1 of 5 that visit regularly. I want to catch more than one at a time on the feeder but I doubt they will ever tolerate each other long enough to share at the same time.

    Enjoy and if anyone knows the species please tell me. I have looked and although there are a lot I find that come close I have not found this one specifically. It may not even be possible to ID positive but would be cool to know. If I catch the other 4 I will post them too, I think it is either 2:3 or 3:2 male:female but this is an unidentified guess based on bright colors vs. dull colors..

    I think I found what one it is but am not sure yet. Selasphorus rufus is the best I could find without a better picture of my own for a better comparison.

    Congratulations! Those hummers are hard to photograph because they are so fast.

    DaphDaph, That is exactly what I was going to say!
    I have a hard time taking wildlife photos. I keep trying and now keep my camera setting on Sports, hoping to get a clear image.
