As you may know I am in Malaysia at the moment. Being a South East Asian country it is known for its spicy food. While Thailand is generally considered to be spicier I just love what I find here. Anything that makes me sweat is a winner Anyone else a spicy food lover?
Well not me that's for sure!! A chicken Korma is about as spicey as I like. However, Ian would eat hot curries and spicey food until they came out of his ears. Makes me sweat just thinking about it.
I like it pretty warm but I draw the line at habaneros. Too warm for me. Wish I knew how to cook a few of the Thai recipes. Can`t even get the ingredients in this little town.
I like a little tingle in some of the food I eat. I love horseradish on meat and a little Jalapeno in some things. But if it is going to cauterize my taste buds in the process of being eaten, then I will pass it on to Randy. He loves hot food. So far Thai food is the only spicy food I have seen that will make him sweat a little.
I love spicey food but it doesn't like me.I use to eat any kind of peppers and curries but just can not eat it as my stomach can not tolerate it.
I was raised in Singapore so spicy food is almost a must in my diet.....I like the spice but do not like it so hot that you cannot taste the other ingredients because you entire mouth is numb...
I love it spicy! I keep a big jar of Lousiana Red hot sauce on the table at all times. But my favorite spicy food is New Mexican. Not Tex-Mex... Not Mexican... but NEW MEXICAN. There's a big difference between them. What I wouldn't give for a big plate of green chile chicken enchiladas right now! Or maybe a big bowl of posole.. or a carne adovado burrito... or a nice big Chile Relleno? Why did I read this post!!! Now I'm hungry!
Wow Frank didn't know you had a spicy tonque, so had you tried "nasi lemak" it is a must try . I too love it spicy but not to the extend of making my taste bud numb. As a matter of fact I love all yummie food, spicy or not as long as it is yummie!!
When in Thailand you must have the original Thai tom yam, they are really gooooood!!! Slurrp yummie!! yummie!! and don't forget the kerabu chicken feet .... I am hungry!!!
Hi Frank, I'm with you; the hotter the food, the better. I've found that the more hot food I eat, the hotter the food needs to be to give me that zing in my mouth that I love. For those that think they don't like hot food, start out slow and slowly build eating hotter and hotter foods. Mike
Kap kun kap for asking KK I had a spicy chicken rice there on the first night that almost made my mouth bleed! Loved it.
I love spicy foods. Hot pepper sauces like Tabasco and Sriracha or Sambal Oelek, Chili. Also horseradish.
