    Favorite vegetable?

Today, my favorite is potatoes because i just planted 3 rows of red ones. I tried to remember what I was told a couple of years go, but the brain isn't operating on all cylinders, so I dug trenches about a foot deep, mixed the soil with potting soil, placed the potatoes (Already scabbed of course) in, sprinkled dirt and finely crushed leaves over them about two inches, watered and prayed they will grow as well as last year's.
I have searched from 2008 up till today and haven't found the advice I was given, but I'm sure someone will relate to me all the mistakes I made. LOL
I have spinach, arugula and peas up. Tomatoes, onions are growing inside in pots. Potato seeds are growing in pots to be transferred outside as soon as possible. From these, I hope to have my own seed potatoes for next year.
    Happy gardening! :-D

I'm not saying potatoes are my favorite, but I am slap-happy today because all three rows of potatoes appear to be coming above ground. YIPPEE!

Without a doubt green beans--fresh off the bush is the best way, cooked or canned but don't like them frozen.

My favorite veggy has to be 'TOMATOES' or 'Maters' as my 3 year old granddaughter calls them. Here in Western Washington state our growing season changes from year to year, so early or short season maters are a must. I usual grow cherry tomatoes with a few paste and Heirloom plants thrown in the mix each year. There is nothing better than the taste of home grown 'Maters' you can't buy that type of quality in a supermarket

    My favorite vegtable is...

I love tomatoes, all kinds. Grape, Cherry and your big meaty ones. I like the sweetness that comes with tomatoes that you dont get with most vegtables. I think they are pretty easy to grow but do need looking after as i have noticed they get blight disease very easily. :smt050

    Tomatoes - with a twist

I really like tomatoes. Yes, I know that it's actually a fruit, but anyhow, it's just wonderful. I often eat tomatoes during the day. Especially when it's hot, they're wonderful :-D

Tomatoes taste wonderful if you put them on a piece of fried bread with a fresh, green salad leaf, and then add a little bit of oregano on the top of it all. You can also add some mozzarella cheese and bit of tuna, if you like.

    Best,
    Anette

I love cucumbers! Fresh in a salad, pickled, or just washed off and eaten on the way to the house, cucumbers are great.
Of course, I also love eggplant, tomatoes, potatoes, beans . . . .
    Okra you can keep.

I am a bit of a squash and pumpkin fan - I would generally cook it up in special clay pots that help retain most of the nutrients, excellent snack.

My favorites are Snow Peas and Green Beans. From the time they flower to when they are ready to pick just amazes me.
