    Still got everything crossed for a quick recovery.
    My Mom had the same symptoms when she was in the hospital in January of last year, turned out to be an adverse reaction to the medicines they were giving her. Hopefully something that simple is what is causing Glenda's problem too.

    Glendann had a MRI today and it showed that she has had a stroke. The part of her brain that the stroke has impaired is in the basal ganglia area of her brain. It controls motor function,vision,personality and emotions. She is still really confused. SHe thinks that she is in Texas and not Montana. She gets very mad at me when I tell her that she is in Montana. She thinks that I'm lying to her friends and family about where she is.It's heartbreaking to see her like this. I just pray that her confusion starts to go away. She recognizes everyone,she just can't understand that she is still up here with me and her grandsons. They are going to evaluate her further tomorrow and hopefully we will have more answers. I will keep you informed. Just pray she gets better and that me and my family can adjust to how this stroke has effected her.

    Heather this must be such a stressful time for you and your family. :( I'm so glad though that Glenda was with you all in Montana when she became so ill. I dread to think what would have happened had she been on her own in Texas. I hope that tomorrow brings some better news about her condition and that, with time, her confusion and motor functions begin to return to normal.

    Hello Heather. Thank you for updating. I was unhappy to hear that she has had a stroke.
    Of course it is sad to see your mum like this...sad and stressful, but it is early days and we must wait to see what the residual damage has been. Only time can tell what that will be. At least being in the hospital means that she will have the best chance possible to recover as fully as she can.
    Please add my well-wishes to the big stack of well-wishes from all her friends here....and I also wish for you and your family all the inner strength necessary to deal with this new situation.

    Heather, I was so sorry to hear about your Mother. The last time I was on I sent her a PM letting her know I was thinking of her. She responded with a thank you and that she was anxious to see the kidney specialist. I will PM you to get her address. Will continue to keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.
