Has anyone any idea of the cost of cedar-wood roof shingles . Most sites refer to the cost per square , but what is a square . Any idea how I calculate the amount required . I already have 9 bales they measure 6" thick by 26 " long by 20 " wide . I guessing I need another 20 to 25 bales !!!!

    A square is 10' x 10', or 100 square feet, hence "square".

How large of an area are you covering?

Notaclue. Each manu. bundles them differently, and it would also depend on your overlap.

If they are packaged anything like regular shingles, one bundle covers 1/3 of a square. So it would take 3 bundles to do a square. So that would be 18 bundles if my calculator is correct?
