Oké Glenda...no problem. I knew that you and others would be worried for her.

BTW--I hope that you are doing well these days. I think about you often.

terribly sad situation for all of you country. I'm so glad you are all OK. Even sadder is that this can happen to any of us anywhere. My prayers for all of you.

I share every ones concerns and relief in knowing that Droopy and family are OK. I am also keeping the families that lost loved ones in that senseless act in my prayers as well. Such a sad, sad, event. :'(

Thank you all for thinking about us, and for caring. We're a nation in mourning. All those young lives lost just because one man has a twisted sense of reality. Today there have been parades all over Norway, mostly because young people have mobilized through Facebook and Twitter, urging people to show up with flowers and candles to show their support and show that we care.

We walked around the Government buildings late Thursday afternoon. We wanted to show the girls where Norway is run from. The cherry trees in front of the Prime Minister's office buildings had lots of ripe fruit, and everything was so peaceful. Then, less than 24 hours later it looked like a war zone.

We had left Oslo center by then. We were having lunch with family, watching Tour de France when the bomb went off. We heard it. Then the Tour broadcast news banners said a bomb had gone off in Oslo so we switched channels to watch. We couldn't quite believe what we saw. And then the shooting at Utøya started and the whole thing seemed so unreal we couldn't grasp it at first.

My thoughts are with the poor youngsters who were at Utøya and the families of those who are no longer with us. I can't begin to imagine what they've gone through.

We weren't done with our vacation, but we just couldn't go on so we came home. We live about 600 km north-west of Oslo. Thanks for keeping us in your thoughts.

I'm glad that you are home, Droopy. I hope that you guys are dealing with this preposterous action.
It is important to suffer and to console as a nation. Yes, it will take time, but the people of your country have already begun the collective healing process.
Our two societies are so similar in so many ways, thus I know that this mourning will pass, but the memory will not. You know that You have support here. Bless you all.

Droopy, I really admire the Norwegian people's reaction to this event.

Crazies like that guy like that are like real-life internet trolls. The best thing you can do is ignore them, and not give them the attention they seek.

I'm glad to hear you and yours were safely away.

Our Prime Minister said in his first speech that we would answer this horrid act with more openness and more democracy, and it seems we're all in agreement.

Some arrangements were cancelled after the bombing, but it was decided to let them proceed anyway. He can't stop our day-to-day lives. That's what he wanted to achieve and we won't let him.

This year's election year. I hope that all those who haven't bothered to vote before will get involved. I don't care what they vote for as long as they vote, just to make a statement.

So glad to hear that you and your family is safe. I say all extremists (Left and right wingers) should be dealt with. We must all learn to be more tolerant if we are to survive this world.

So glad to hear Droopy & her family are safe. Thanks for the posting Sjoerd. I was visiting my Mom when this tragedy happened. Both of her parents were born in Norway so we have followed all of the news accounts with great sadness.

Palm Tree, you're so right! The only thing that really scares me is extremists of any kind.

Thanks gfreiherr. We've seen over and over again all over the world that one nutcase operating on his/her own can't be dealt with beforehand unless we want a totalitarian regime with close monitoring of all persons, which personally I don't want.
